Advertising Director, Susan Thelen, is ready to help with your advertising planning, assist you in securing the best possible rates, and make sure your campaign is as successful as possible.
Under her direction, the advertising office was most recently integral with advertising and branding the White Stag Block in Portland, Eugene ’08 Olympic Trials, Oregon Quarterly’s Magazine advertising program, College Colors Friday, as well as numerous other institutional advertising campaigns throughout the years. After graduating from the UO School of Journalism in advertising, Susan honed her skills in newspaper sales and management for some of the region’s leading daily and weekly newspapers. She went on to launch the Oregon Quarterly’s first ad program, growing it to the third largest revenue-producing alumni magazine in the country. During this time, Susan was also named Director of Advertising for the University of Oregon, where she continues to direct branding and budgeting and helps individual departments with off-campus media requests and placements.
